Admission Arrangements

We work closely with our feeder primary schools to ensure that transition into year 7 is as smooth as possible.  The reason for this is to identify students who will benefit from additional support at high school and to ensure that successful strategies are continued.

There is also liaison with the Advisory Teachers for Learning Support and the Educational Psychology services.  Where appropriate the SENCO attends Year 6 review meetings.

Parents of students with SEN are welcome to contact the school and meet the SENCO early in Year 6.  Additionally as with all parents they will be offered an interview with a member of the school staff prior to their child starting at Stoke.

Students with SEN may be invited to attend a special Year 6 day with current Year 7's and members of the Learning Support Department before the 2 main induction days in July.
