Uniform Regulations

The school colours are black, and gold.  Details of uniform are given on the following pages. 

ALL ITEMS OF CLOTHING MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE STUDENT'S NAME 

Watches and small plain gold stud earrings are the only items of jewellery which may be worn.  Girls in the Upper School may wear a little make-up but this must be unobtrusive.  Only colourless nail varnish is allowed.

Skirt                                                                 BLACK, in a style and length appropriate to school wear, ie avoid

                                                                         skirts which are too long or too short; too tight or too full.

Black trousers                                               Not cropped trousers.

Plain socks/natural coloured tights

PHYSICAL EDUCATION/GAMES CLOTHING 

We are aware of how expensive all forms of clothing can be, but at the same time we feel it is essential that students are properly equipped for sport.  We have tried, therefore, to keep our required list short and simple. 

In the school year 2007/08 we phased in a new range of sports wear and the training top is compulsory from September 2008.  Again, we have researched inexpensive, value for money items and they are available from PMG Schoolwear (formerly National Schoolwear Centre) in Westgate Street, telephone 01473 212050 or 212225.

Girls who are members of the school football team will need football boots with moulded or screw-in studs, *school football socks and shin pads.

Girls who are members of the school netball teams will need a black pleated skirt.

 ALL STUDENTS, UNLESS MEDICALLY EXEMPT, WILL TAKE PART IN PE AND GAMES LESSONS, TAKE SHOWERS AND BE DRESSED SUITABLY.

 ALL ITEMS OF PE CLOTHING MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH THE STUDENT'S NAME.

No item of jewellery (including stud earrings) is allowed to be worn in PE lessons.
